These calcite crystals are from the Elmwood Mine in Carthage, Smith County, Tennessee, Ba-F-Pb-Zn District, US. This mine contains three shafts called the Elmwood, Cumberland, and Gordonsville. It has an entry slope called the Stonewall. They contain eleven different minerals including sphalerite which is the main ore mineral. This is of double terminated translucent crystal with minor barite and secondary crystals attached. There is damage in the form of cleaved tips to the terminations which is common for this locale. This piece measures 4 3/4 x 3 x 2 1/4 inches or 120 x 76 x 57 mm.
