This calcite crystal is from the Elmwood Mine in Carthage, Smith County, Tennessee, Ba-F-Pb-Zn District, US. This mine contains three shafts called the Elmwood, Cumberland, and Gordonsville. It has an entry slope called the Stonewall. They contain eleven different minerals including sphalerite which is the main ore mineral. This is of double terminated translucent crystal with minor chert matrix attached. There are little nicks here along the crystal edge. The lower termination has a cleaved tip. This piece measures 3 1/8 x 1 1/2 x 1 3/4 inches or 79 x 38 x 45 mm.
