Description
This brazilianite is from the Telirio Claim in Linopolis in Divino das Laranjeiras, Minas Gerais, Brazil. This area is in the Aimores Pegmatite District and contains several pematites that contain phosphate minerals like childrenite, eosphorite and brazilianite. Brazilianite contains the elements Na, Al, P, O and H. This specimen consists of a cluster of gem-like brazilianite crystals on a cleavelandite matrix. The crystals have a bright glass luster. They display well from all sides. the primary crystal is 26 mm long This piece measures 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 x 1 3/8 inches or 38 x 38 x 35 mm.
