Description
This opal is from the Yowah Opal Field in the Paroo Shire, Queensland, Australia. It is an exposed vein of opal on an ironstone matrix. The layer of opal is approximately 1-2 mm in thickness. It measures 2 1/2 x 2 1/4 x 1 1/4 inches (average thickness) or 64 x 57 x 32 mm.
