Description
This fluorite is from the Minggang Mine in the Shihe District, Xinyang Prefecture, Henan Province, China. The botryoidal form of fluorite is a rarer morphology for the species. This specimen consists of knob and mushroom like formations of fluorite on a fluorite and limonite matrix. The fluorite is translucent to opaque and has a crystalline surface. This piece measures 3 x 2 1/8 x 1 3/8 inches or 76 x 54 x 35 mm.
