These barite crystals are from Cerro Warihuyn in Mira Flores, Huamalias Province, of the Huanuco Department, Peru.This area is prospected by the locals for mineral specimens and it contains five different mineral species. This specimen consists of a sandstone matrix that hosts crystals on most surfaces.
