This azurite crystal is from Kerrochene in the Khenifra Province, Beni Millal-Khenifra Region, Morocco. An exact description and history are unknown and it is unremarkable except for the malachite and azurite specimens found there. Azurite is a carbonate and it contains the elements Cu, C, O and H. This crystal is double sided with a small remnant matrix on one side. The shape is spear like with multiple terminations and complex prism faces. It has a cobalt to prussian blue color and a vitreous luster. It measures 1 1/4 x 5/8 x 3/8 inches or 32 x 16 x 9 mm.
