This azurite is from Kerrochene in the Khenifra Province, Beni Millal-Khenifra Region, Morocco. An exact description and history are unknown and it is unremarkable except for the malachite and azurite specimens found there. Azurite is a carbonate and it contains the elements Cu, C, O and H. This crystal is double terminated with complex parallel growth. It is perched on clay stone matrix and it has a cobalt to prussian blue color. It has a greasy to vitreous luster. It measures 7/8 x 7/8 x 5/8 inches or 22 x 16 x 16 mm.
