This azurite crystal rosette is from the Daye Copper Mine in the Huangshi Prefecture, Hubei Province, China. This is an iron and copper mine that contains over 25 types of minerals including azurite. It is a secondary mineral found in oxidied copper deposits. It is also a carbonate that contains the elements Cu, C, O and H. This is an outstanding rosette type formation of azurite.
