Atacamite from the Copiago Province

This specimen is from the Farola Mine in Cerro Pintado, Copiago Province of the Atacama Region of Chile. It consists of a heavy porphry matrix that is topped with sprays of translucent, gemmy, atacamite crystals and some minor chrysocolla. This piece measures   5 9/16 x 3 x 1 1/2 inches or 140 x 75 x 38 mm.
