Description
This antimony is from the Lac Nicolet Antimony Mine in Lac Nicolet in Saints-Martyrs-Canadiens, Arthabaska RCM, Centre-du -Quebec, Canada. This mine contained 39 different mineral species including antimony. It is a native element represented by Sb on the periodic table. This specimen is a solid mass of native antimony crystals With attached sprays of red kermesite crystals and silver stibnite crystals.The surfaces show mostly granular and bleb-like crystals and small depressions and exposed veins with micro-euhedral crystals and clusters. The surfaceis mostly silver color with a sparkling metallic luster. This piece measures 2 x 1 5/8 x 7/8 inches or 50 x 41 x 22 mm.
