Description
This anglesite is from the Touissit-Bou Bker Mining District in the Jerada Province, Oriental Region, Morocco. This district contains several mines that are operated for the recovery of zinc and lead ores. Thirty-nine different minerals can be found at the mines including the sulfide galena and the sulfate anglesite. This piece consists of a vug filled crystalline galena matrix that hosts several yellowish anglesite crystals up to approximately 25 mm in size. It can be displayed from several angles. This heavy piece measures 3 5/8 x 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 inches or 92 x 57 x 57 mm.
