This analcime is from Kings Valley in Benton County, Oregon, USA. There are three quarries in this area that contain analcime. It is a member of the zeolite family and it contains the elements K, Si, Al, and O. This specimen consists of a partial matrix that is topped with well defined crystals of analcime. They are opaque to translucent and have a matte to vitreous luster. The largest crystal is 1 3/8 inches across. The piece measures 1 1/2 x 1 1/4 x 1 1/4 inches or 38 x 32 x 32 mm.
