This amphibole in quartz is from Balouchistan, Pakistan. This is a mineral rich area that contains over 100 different minerals including several varieties of quartz that contain different mineral inclusions. Amphibole is a super group of minerals with dozens of chemical formulas. They are silicates and include such types as: bysollite, reibeckite and anthophyllite. This is a translucent to transparent quartz crystal with inclusions of white and copper colored amphibole crystals. The amphibole crystals are silk-like and vary in concentration. The quartz crystal measures 1 7/8 x 1 5/16 x 1 1/8 inches or 48 x 33 x 28 mm.
