This complex amethyst crystal is from the Goboboseb Mountains, Brandberg Area, Daures, Erongo Region, Namibia. The Goboboseb Mountains cover a large area encompassing hundreds of square miles. It contains several famous deposits that produce different varieties of quartz crystals including amethyst. This is a double terminated amethyst crystal with a healed attachment point on one prism face. It displays complex growth, a glass luster, and zones of smokey quartz. It can be displayed or viewed from several sides or angles. It measures 1 7/8 x 7/8 x 13/16 inches or 47 x 22 x 21 mm.
